About the event
This program takes us on a transformative journey through healthy habit building, body movement, mental clarity, a greater understanding of a balancing diet, meditation, and how to acknowledge and root out any limiting beliefs we have of ourselves. Sure, you can buy the book we're following, and try to do it on your own, but from personal experience, these 40 days are much better shared in a community, to create support and accountability, have healthy discussions, and share tips and resources throughout the week! This will be my (Michelle's) 7th time going through 40 Days to Personal Revolution.
Side effects of this 40-day challenge may include A better outlook on life, better quality of breath, mental toughness, breaking of old habits, better diet choices, leaner body, less pain/symptoms of conditions in the body, determination, weight loss, and more... :-)
What are the rules of the challenge?? - (We will cover this again in detail at our first meeting! )
- Show up - We will have weekly meetings at RCF on Saturdays 11 AM (Virtual option for anyone outside of the area.), typically they last 30-45 minutes, Â and we will spend the first half of week 2-6 meetings discussing how the prior week went, followed by things to expect or look for in the upcoming week.Â
- Read - There are weekly readings from the book 40 Days to Personal Revolution, including Laws of Transformation, Themes for each week, Yoga poses, Meditations, and a food-awareness section. In total it's about 10-15 pages per week.Â
- Meditate - You'll start with just 5 minutes of meditation, twice a day and gradually increase by 5 minutes each week. If you're quick at math, you've already figured out that by the end of this 40 Day challenge you will have learned how to carve out time for 30 minutes of meditation TWICE a day!Â
- Journal - You will be discovering, unearthing or as we love to call it excavating new depths of your Self. You'll want to journal, anything that comes up for you, as well as your answers to the 3-8 Excavation Questions at the end of each Meditation section in the book.Â
- Practice Yoga - You will develop a practice of 6 days of yoga per week, and start with a minimum of 20 Minutes per day with the first week. After that 30 minutes, then 45, 60, 75, and 90minutes. While most yoga studios offer 60 minute practices, we support as much or as little as you want to do, at home or in-studio. The bigger goal is consistency with 6 days on and 1 day rest per week.Â
- Commit - Stay committed to your goals. We are here to support you and every week you get a chance to re-commit!Â
There is no box to check off, (unless you want one) or anyone checking your assignments, it is truly a program of honor. You will get out of it as much as you want, and choose to work for it. End this year on a high note and start 2025 with new friends, a new supportive community, and a new you!Â

- Weekly In-Person meetings at RCF for discussions with all participants, with a Virtual option for anyone outside the Greater Seattle Area.
- The (private) Facebook group page.
- YouTube Playlist of video tutorials for Yoga postures that support each week's focus.
- Weekly recordings for guided meditations.
- Recipes to try, that support the balancing diet recommendations for each week.

- Obtain/Order the Book - 40 Days to a Personal Revolution, by Baron Baptiste. Check your local library or click on the book below, to buy on Amazon. (also available on Kindle)
- Make sure you have ZOOM installed on your electronic device if you are not local to the Seattle Area.
- Purchase Yoga Mat & Props - if you wish to use them. (RCF Studio has shared Blocks, straps and limited bolsters.)
